January 2025 – Mikk Murray

2025 soon came around! We started the year off with a near full congregation who turned out to see Mikk Murray.

Mikk is an artist, living and working in Sheffield. He describes his work as being like the symbiotic relationships within a woodland, a collection of drawings, walks, observations and explorations that work together as a whole. His paintings emerge from this process with a sense of connectedness and history to them.

Mikk brought along probably the largest painting we have ever had at the society and proceeded to demonstrate his enthusiasm to his art through a mix of PowerPoint and video presentations along with some actual painting
